Quantum Solutions has been serving the human service provider industry since 2000.
In 1985, Paul Ingle founded Canyon Logic Systems (CLS), a company that developed fund accounting and payroll solutions for school districts and municipalities. Several Illinois human service providers approached CLS about the possibility of deploying software to provide an integration platform for agencies in Illinois due to a desperate need to better manage increasing regulatory compliance that made existing paper processes nearly impossible. This introduction led to the determination that the industry would be best served by a singular solution that would automate all agency operations and Quantum was born.
As the application gained traction and more providers jumped on board, Quantum focused more and more attention on asking the question “What does your organization spend a stupid amount of time doing,” and “Is there a way for us to fix that?” And so, we did.
In 2007, Amy Robb and Ken Davis teamed up to provide the backbone that is Quantum today. Ken, with an impressive technological background, and Amy, with an extensive background in business management. In 2008, Amy pushed Quantum to strategically target deployment in states across the country and dynamically changed the flexibility of our application and underlying implementation process to scale and address the needs of providers outside of just Illinois.
Year after year we continued to grow an extensive user family who met at least yearly and eventually bi-annually with the sole intention of again asking the question, and again deploying the solutions to solve our providers’ issues. As those meetings grew, so did the depth and breadth of our application until it became the enterprise system it is today. Quantum has been specifically developed by agencies, for agencies, and honed over a history of information technology that now spans over a quarter of a century.
Chris Robb joined the team in 2013 after a long career in healthcare administration. His history as a “cleaner” of both skilled care/ LTC and Behavioral Health settings was a perfect match for Quantum as his background allowed him to understand the product, its need, and its purpose firsthand.
Amy, Ken, and Chris took over management of Quantum exclusively in 2015 and began a dynamic transition of the application. Along the way, they picked up an amazing team of people who share and believe in the guiding principles that make Quantum what Quantum has become. Amy, Ken, and Chris ultimately bought the company in 2019. Under this new leadership, Quantum has spent a decade of our team’s attention focused on the delicate balance of delivering the easiest-to-use interface, coupled with maintaining the unrivaled power and flexibility that makes our application unlike any other.
Our team has the privilege of working with people we love and still lead our team and guide our decision by that same question, to this very day. We believe in putting our people first, treating our customers as our family, approaching all things with honesty, and revel in creatively solving the problems of our family through innovation, every day.
